Oxford Biomedica’s Engineering team are responsible for all aspects of Plant, Mechanical, Electrical and Incoming utilities at our facilities. 

 

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Coordinator to join the team as maternity cover to ensure continuity in the management and delivery of maintenance / calibration activities across our laboratory sites through the robust coordination and motivation of approved contractors, internal engineering resources and internal process / asset owners.

In addition, they shall ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, whilst supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

  • Plan and organise maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
  • Communicate & confirm all scheduled activities with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Induction & supervision of maintenance contractors throughout the laboratory sites.
  • Review and improve maintenance / calibration processes and methods
  • Review & approve service and calibration reports ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • In conjunction with laboratory department managers monitor and increase asset availability/uptime.
  • Provision of metrics on engineering KPI’s
  • Ensure accuracy of CMMS system.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role – managing and scheduling maintenance activities.
  • Experienced in managing & supervising contractors, issuing and managing Permit to works.
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels.
  • Highly Organised and proactive approach to prioritising activities to ensure delivery against plan.
  • Excellent problem solving, report writing and analytical skills.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office software suite
  • Experience with CMMS / ERP system

 

Desirable:

  • Track record of suggesting and delivering continuous improvements
  • Related Engineering qualification
  • Experience in a similar role within a regulatory environment
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment
