Oxford Biomedica’s Communications team are responsible for creating all internal and external communications for the business.    We are currently recruiting for a Digital Communications Specialist to join the team.  Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will support the delivery of a strong internal and external communications plan that supports the company's strategy, vision and values by providing digital communication expertise and creative design support to the Communications team.

 

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

 

  • Using creative skills to work on the layout and design of content across all digital communication channels
  • Creating visually engaging and on-brand messaging for creative assets supporting internal communication programmes and initiatives
  • Providing editorial and educational support for the company’s intranet (Workplace) including responsibility for creating, editing and driving internal news flow
  • Providing support for internal communication and employee engagement campaigns, events, projects and initiatives, and other ad hoc duties as required
  • Managing digital assets and acting as brand custodian to ensure all assets are brand compliant. Monitor usage by internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining both internal communication and external communication cycle plans to capture all key events including internal and external events, employee initiatives, key business milestones and developments
  • Creating, re-purposing content and posting content on the company’s social media channels and assisting in the management of the company’s social media
  • Ensuring oxb.com content is up to date, working with a third-party supplier to manage updates

 

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Digital all-rounder with the ability to engage effectively with audiences across multiple internal and external channels
  • Experience of working with intranets is desirable – experience with Workplace not essential
  • Self-motivated, completer-finisher with a desire to learn on the job
  • An eye for design and attention to detail is essential
  • Experience in photo editing and video editing desirable
  • Experience in copywriting, editing and proofing required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and changing circumstances
  • Experience of corporate social media (Twitter/Linked In/ You Tube, web-based etc.)
