Scientific Assistant, Quality Control

We are currently recruiting for a Scientific Assistant to join the Quality Control (QC) team. In this role, you will provide essential laboratory activities and services to support the ADQC department, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.  

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

• The monitoring and controlling of temperature units within highly regulated laboratories.
• To liaise and work with Equipment Engineering team and external engineers to organize equipment servicing and equipment repair
• Provide support for equipment maintenance including equipment files and service contracts.
• To clean and maintain the laboratory equipment and facilities.
• To operate an autoclave and dispose of waste materials. 
• Support the ASG pipette clinic including cleaning and preparing pipettes.
• Oversee, maintain, and ensure quality of key stock consumables.
• Completing of Quality Records

We are looking for:

• Educated to a minimum of GCSE or equivalent qualification level or able to demonstrate required skills gained within another workplace.
• A genuine interest and drive to work in science.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Highly organised and motivated with excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel & Outlook.
