Sample Coordinator II (Process Development Operations)

We’re currently recruiting for a Sample Coordinator II to join our Process Development Operations team. In this role, you will provide essential laboratory activities and services supporting high-quality scientific work, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

• Receiving, labelling, tracking and storing PD samples, maintaining freezer inventories and check‑in/check‑out systems.
• Packaging and shipping samples to internal sites, subcontractors and clients, and managing couriers and shipment documentation.
• Coordinating analytical sample requests and ensuring timely delivery to the appropriate teams.
• Managing in‑process controls, standards, critical reagents and control materials, and communicating low stock as required.
• Liaising with subcontractors for external testing and resolving shipment discrepancies promptly.
• Developing and maintaining efficient systems for sample storage, traceability, labelling (including barcoding) and controlled disposal.
• Training colleagues in Sample Management procedures and writing/reviewing SOPs, RAs and OJTs.

We are looking for:

• Maths & English GCSE as a minimum requirement
• Pharmaceutical industry experience or equivalent experience
• Attention to detail as well as excellent organisational and time management skills
