We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Director to manage the Procurement organisation. You will be ensuring effective and lean procurement processes and be responsible for delivering maximum value for money across our direct and indirect procurement spend, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.
Our Procurement function ensures a strategic approach to the purchasing of good and services by driving effective and lean processes procurement processed, and to deliver maximum value for money across our direct and indirect procurement.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
- Implement purchasing policies across all areas of the business.
- Ownership of a direct and indirect spend across all OXB functions.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder and key supplier relationships, both internally and externally at all levels in line with OXB values.
- Delivering innovation in procurement, streamlining the strategies, and adding value on major projects
- Managing long term pipelines for procurement, developing plans in line with the future goals of the organisation.
- Work cross functionally across OXB to ensure that the procurement process is maximizing value to the organisation.
- Work in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholder groups to develop & deliver sourcing best practices.
- Deliver end to end sourcing strategies helping transition the procurement team from transactional to a more a strategic function focusing on category management & SRM development.
- Build strong relationships across the business and with the supplier base, ensuring that business strategies are integrated into the procurement planning process.
We are looking for:
- Education to Degree level (or equivalent)
- An MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
- A proven history of working within procurement, with evidence of both value adding and cost reduction via implementing effective sourcing strategies.
- Experience within pharmaceutical/biotech or other tightly regulated industries.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to engaging, building relationships, collaborate and influence with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
- A people leader with experience of building, developing, and managing teams.
- The ability to create, analyse and drive data driven decisions.
