Following the expansion of our US footprint with the acquisition of a new commercial-scale viral vector facility in Durham, North Carolina we have some new opportunities to join us.

 

We’re currently recruiting for a Programme Director to join the Commercial Team. Located from Durham, NC, you will be ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget to the required quality. You will also be managing the relationship between OXB and clients to ensure successful long-term alliances, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.

 

 

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

 

  • Lead and oversee complex programmes, ensuring delivery against scope, milestones, timelines and budget across multiple active projects.
  • Ownership of client relationships, acting as a strategic partner to ensure exceptional satisfaction and long-term collaboration
  • Identify and shape new opportunities, working closely with clients and internal experts to define work packages, proposals, costings and timelines.
  • Drive financial performance, including forecasting, cost control and accurate, timely invoicing to maintain strong commercial oversight.
  • Provide clear leadership,
  • Collaborate cross functionally with scientific, operational and technical teams to agree project plans, deliverables and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor progress and proactively resolve issues, communicating updates to stakeholders and senior leadership to enable effective decision making.
  • Facilitate internal and client meetings, ensuring transparency, alignment and momentum throughout the programme lifecycle.

 

We are looking for:

 

  • A scientific degree or PhD
  • Project Management qualification strongly preferred.
  • Significant project management experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical / biotech industry
  • Has a broad and deep understanding of the full CMC life cycle of the development of a product.
  • Proven relationship management skills which enable them to influence at high levels in the client organisation to develop a longer-term alliance with more valued clients.
  • Standard Project Management tools and techniques and the skills required for their effective utilisation.
  • Excellent technical understanding of biopharmaceutical process development and manufacturing
  • Experience of managing projects using MS Project & MS Excel. Experience of working with a PPM tool is an advantage
