Following the expansion of our US footprint with the acquisition of a new commercial-scale viral vector facility in Durham, North Carolina we have some new opportunities to join us.

 

We’re currently recruiting a Manufacturing Technician II to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will contribute to the buildout and qualification of new manufacturing suites for viral vectors and vaccines, establishing state-of-the-art manufacturing operation., playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.

 

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

  • Support commissioning and qualification of production equipment.
  • Contribute to the review and creation of operational documents by providing technical input.
  • Operate on the manufacturing floor in compliance with cGMP and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare equipment for manufacturing operations and monitor performance to ensure process specifications are met.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of cGMP principles and apply them to daily responsibilities.
  • Follow accurate written and verbal procedures when operating production equipment and performing processing steps.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the process area.
  • Practice safe work habits and adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new and junior staff.
  • Apply manufacturing knowledge to improve process operations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Escalate product and safety-related issues to senior staff promptly.

 

 

We are looking for:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years in cGMP manufacturing environment or Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 6 hours in a production suite
  • Ability to gown and gain entry to manufacturing areas
  • Ability to work weekends, including holidays as scheduled
