Following the expansion of our US footprint with the acquisition of a new commercial-scale viral vector facility in Durham, North Carolina we have some new opportunities to join us.

 

We’re currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to join our Manufacturing Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all Facilities operations within an FDA-approved clinical cGMP manufacturing facility, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.

 

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

  • Oversee all facilities operations for the manufacturing site, including office, lab, and other production areas.
  • Manage and develop the Facilities and Calibration teams, ensuring effective daily operations and growth opportunities.
  • Prioritize and monitor work orders through the CMMS system to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and implementing programs for maintenance, calibration, and operation of GMP equipment, utilities, and systems.
  • Daily management of service contracts, external janitorial teams, and vendor relationships to support operations.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality leadership to ensure proper maintenance intervals, calibration rigor, and continuous process improvements.
  • Oversee site security systems, and act as primary liaison for building and grounds issues.
  • Assist in Managing the Facilities operations budget, providing input on cost optimization and resource planning.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, communication, and compliance as a key member of the operations leadership team.
  • Manage a team of Facilities Technicians.

 

We are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 12 years of directly relevant experience, bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of direct experience in facility operations, with proven experience in clean utilities and facilities operations within a biotech/pharmaceutical environment, or equivalent years of proven direct experience required.
  • Experience in operation of GMP clean utilities and manufacturing facilities support required.
  • Minimum 3 years managing a team.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills at individual, team, and at all organizational levels are essential.
